The Best Place Ever!

February 4, 2017

My favorite place in PCB — and a top 5 anywhere — is Patches, an out-of-the-way locals place about as far east as you can get without ending up wet. I stumbled upon it 3 years ago and it was just old folks in there — in fact, I’ve described the place to my friends as a college bar for old people. It’s basically a dive bar (their shirt has a diver as the logo) with a pretty amazing menu. But it seems to have really, REALLY caught on with a wider crowd. The clientele now is about half old folks, half the under-thirty crowd. And it is ALWAYS packed. I have some great Patches stories to share, and I will as the month goes on. For now, I just want to share the best meal deal on the beach: Sesame-encrusted pan-seared tuna (rare, as you can see) with teriyaki noodles and seaweed salad. $8.99. Every Friday. I will eat this again. And again.
